You’ve just been dumped and you probably don’t think that things could get much worse right? Wrong! Do not call her: How is she going to feel like you’ve split up if you’re calling her every hour? She needs to get her head around the break-up as well as you, it has been known that a woman has decided that she made the wrong decision and come crawling back to her guy.

No emails or cell phone messages: This is kind of like the first caution but the difference with this one is that, if she doesn’t answer you will get the urge to start sending some very nasty messages which will just drive her further away from you.

Don’t stalk her: This happens a lot, if you’re really serious about getting your ex girlfriend back then the last thing you should do is turn up at places where you know she’ll be. If she gets home and finds you on her doorstep or goes to work and finds you stood outside her office for hours, you will end up with a restraining order against you.

Don’t tell friends how you feel: If you’ve been together for any length of time then you have probably got some friends in common. Calling or visiting your friends with the sole purpose of telling them what she’s done is not good, these are joint friends and they WILL tell her everything you’ve said.

All of the above cautions are there for your benefit, apart from driving her away; they make you look desperate; if women wanted something desperate they’d get a dog from the animal shelter. Women want a guy who can stand on his own two feet without going to pieces at the first sign of trouble, give her some space.

As hard as this may seem at this moment in time, if you can avoid all contact with her it will give you a better understanding of your feelings for her. There is an old saying which goes something like this “You never know what you’ve got until you lose it” this is very true, until this break-up you probably never realized just how much she meant to you; did you?
