Do You Want to Be in Pictures, In Someone’s Ear, on Paper or All Three?
Let’s face it; affiliate marketing is all about making promotions decisions daily to improve your business performance. It’s what you do, and it can sometimes be overwhelming. There are so many options available to you to promote your affiliate business. Three of those are radio advertising, television advertising, and article marketing.
We’ll take a quick look here at one advantage and disadvantage of each type of marketing. This will give you a quick overview of how to approach these three mediums for promoting your business. Your job is to investigate further, how each medium can help your business. Then you can proceed to those aforementioned daily decisions. You will have to decide whether you want to use one, two, or all three methods when it comes to promoting your products.
With radio advertising, you are relying on words and sounds. The advantage of radio advertising is that you can get widespread exposure for your business. Radios are playing everywhere. They are in the home, in cars, in dentist waiting rooms, at the beach, in trendy gyms. As much as newer mediums have come to the forefront, the radio is still a big part of our lives.
The disadvantage of radio is the brevity of your message for money spent. You will purchase snippets of airtime when it comes to radio advertising. You will have to get your affiliate product message across in fifteen to thirty seconds. This advertising doesn’t come cheap, either. That’s why you have to make sure you have the budget to invest in radio advertising.
With television advertising, you are relying on words, sounds, and images. Television will gain you great exposure for your affiliate business. It allows you to promote your affiliate products and services with the full force of visual storytelling.
You can be as creative as a Hollywood director when it comes to television advertising. With words, sound effects, music, colorful images, choreography, or whatever else, your ads can have maximum impact. That’s the power of television. As an advertising medium, it’s one of the best.
The disadvantage of television is its inherent cost. It’s expensive to produce a quality, compelling television commercial. It’s astronomically expensive if you want to create a television infomercial of significant length. That’s out of the reach of many affiliate marketers. You have to be 100 percent certain that you have the advertising budget for television advertising. You do not want to take away from other areas of your business by breaking the bank with television advertising.
With article marketing, you use words. Plain and simple, words tell your affiliate product story. The great advantage of article marketing is that you can target a niche audience and get broad exposure for little or no cost. Quality article writing, consistent article submissions and use of a good article distribution service is efficient affiliate marketing. It’s a way to get your links out to your target markets without overextending your self monetarily.
Article marketing is one way you can establish yourself as an expert in your field. You have the opportunity to give more information to your audience via an article then you do with radio or television advertising. You have the luxury of writing a longer piece and developing your message. You can give more detail in your articles.
The one disadvantage of an article promotion campaign is that your articles will tend to be generic. That doesn’t mean they will not be of high quality. It just means you will not blatantly promote your affiliate product with article marketing. You will blatantly promote your affiliate product, in the proper way, with television and radio ads.
Okay, it’s up to you to investigate these three mediums further. You may decide you want to use one now and another later. You may decide to use all three in conjunction with one another. Just make sure you consider your budget. Then get advertising your affiliate business for greater sales growth.
